Below are some examples of previous events and programmes we have run, many of which recur annually and will reopen for applications later this academic year or in the next academic year.

Medic Mentoring Scheme
The Medic Mentoring Scheme, spearheaded by Emmanuel's Medical and Veterinary Society, pairs aspiring medical students with current clinical medics at Emmanuel. Through regular support via our mentoring platform as well as webinars on topics such as interviews, sitting the UCAT, and personal statements, participants are supported in making competitive applications to UK medical schools.

EMMpower Summer Residential
Our brand new EMMpower summer residential will see 30 highly able Yr12 pupils from across our Link Areas of Sheffield and Essex come to Emmanuel for a taster of what it might be like to study at Cambridge. The final day of the residential coincides with first of our University Open Days.

March Schools Tour (Essex)
What better way to get to know your students than by visiting them on their turf? We spend a week in Essex every March and try to see as many schools as we possibly can, speaking to your Yr7s about Higher Education all the way through to supporting your Yr12s with supercurricular exploration, personal statements, and Oxbridge applications.

March Schools Tour (Sheffield)
What better way to get to know your students than by visiting them on their turf? EMMbark (Ethnic and Racial Minorities Programme)
EMMbark aims to support highly able Yr12 students from Link Area schools who identify as being from an ethnic and racial minority (ERM) background that has historically been underrepresented at Cambridge. Participants will be paired with a current student as a mentor and will attend webinars and an in-person visit to Cambridge.

Langevity Residential
"Langevity" aims to ensure the future of the study of languages both past and present through introducing participants to a range of language-oriented disciplines on offer at Cambridge. After a series of crash course webinars, ranging from Spanish and the Romance Languages to Ancient Egyptian and Akkadian, the programme culminates in a free residential in Cambridge.
